Within iBanFirst, the settlement and treasury team is the place if you want to learn all about the core of foreign exchange transactions and we have place for one intern from October onwards! Foreign exchange transactions are currently limited by banking borders, and we strive to support our clients to avoid the hassle and risks associated with international payments. Our services and products will make cross border payments easier than ever, and you will be operating as the backbone.

What does the role of an intern within settlement and treasury department look like?

As intern you will take the role of a junior settlement and treasury analyst within our dedicated middle office team. Our settlement and treasury team is responsible for managing the foreign exchange transactions and researching possible bottlenecks which can occur. It will be your mission to support and monitor that the operations run smoothly, you can think of things such as transactions not being received by beneficiaries, etc. You have the responsibility to report tasks, externally as internally and by that you get to know to daily business within settlement and treasury in all its aspects. Next to that, you can support in the development of our platform and its usage.

What do you need?

• A bachelor or master studies in the direction of Finance
• Good communication skills and a strong eye for details
• Fluent in English and French, Dutch is a plus
• Living in the surrounding of Brussels

You have a passion for numbers and interest in the financial aspects of running a business. With your curiosity and proactivity, you see it as a challenge to deep dive into our technology and touch every aspect of treasury and settlement within iBanFirst and all setbacks occurred.
