The role

DNA Script is looking for a dynamic, talented individual to join the Enzyme Engineering team for an internship in developing an automated enzymatic oligonucleotide synthesis process. The internship will be in an international team of experienced chemists and biologist.
Your mission in this interdisciplinary project will be to:

• conceive and organize experiments together with your supervisor
• manipulate python scripts to control a liquid handling robot
• prepare solutions of chemicals used by the robot to synthesize oligonucleotide
• characterize oligonucleotide reaction products
• prepare report and communicate results to supervisor and team.

Qualifications and experience

Essential

• Last year of engineering/ master’s degree in biochemistry, chemistry or molecular biology
• Good knowledge and skills in enzyme chemistry, oligonucleotide synthesis, solid phase synthesis,
• Ability to understand/manipulate python scripts used to control liquid handling robot
• Good biochemistry laboratory skills
• Good organizational and reporting skills
• Good communication skills and team player
• Good level of English
• Highly motivated

Desirable

• Experience with high throughput screening
• Good molecular biology skills

• Job located in Kremlin-Bicêtre (Paris area)
• Start date: as soon as possible
• Compensation: 1200€ / month
