As an Android Team Lead, you will join the Innovation team. Your mission will be to lead a talented and motivated cross-project team of Android developers building new applications which differentiate us, are compelling to the market and which align with our strategic direction.

What you will do

• Work closely with the Product Managers, Product Designers and QA Engineers along with experts from other technical stacks

• Define and lead a long term direction for the Android stack

• Ensure the technical work is following the industry standard

• Participate in the hiring process and onboard new Android developers

• Lead the team members through 1:1s, performance reviews, career check-ins, etc.

• Contribute to cross-stack application architecture choices and tech decisions

• Write and maintain high quality, tested and scalable code, and participate in code reviews

• Promote continuous improvement to help the team grow and be successful, with innovative solutions and tools

• Share your knowledge with the team members and with Deezer Engineering teams at large (Android Community of Practice)

• Actively participate in the Scrum events and processes (daily, sprint planning, grooming, retrospective, demo)

• Experience as a manager

• Experience with Scrum

• At least 5 years of experience in building and maintaining Android applications in production

• Strong engineering skills (code versioning, tests, code reviews, CI/CD, etc.)

• Advanced programming skills in Kotlin and Java

• Excellent knowledge of the Android ecosystem

• Team player: ability to promote teamwork, cooperation and a positive atmosphere

• Interest in continuous learning and technology watch

• Good communication skills (English / French)
