About the role:

The QA team is a critical component of Data Impact’s software engineering team. When a new piece of software is being developed or a bug being fixed, the QA Engineers are part of the process from start to end. They run automated and manual tests covering functional scope, performance and security.

We are looking for a QA Lead to join the product team and focus on deploying and following engineering best practices. Our distributed team has a broad scope and balanced mix of levels so there’s plenty of room to mentor and learn.

Your mission:

• Define testing strategy based on business needs and implement this strategy in everyday work
• Organize team members, set the testing team goals and objectives, prioritize tasks
• Elaborate acceptance criteria from the product specs
• Take part in defining and running manual testing of new features or bug fixes
• Write automated tests on front and back
• Create and establish standards within the QA organization
• Participate in test code reviews for your team
• Provide and follow the right KPIs on product quality

Your profile:

• At least 6 years experience in Software Testing
• Over 3 years of management experience, including people management
• Deep understanding of a software development lifecycle
• Experience with Cypress, API testing tools, Git and Python
• Ability to communicate well with individuals and groups to accomplish a common set of goals
• Full cycle testing from designing manual and automated tests to developing scripts and execution
• English and French: professional proficiency
