Responsibilities

As the VP Data, you’ll be responsible for the data team and its management, development, and influence within Cafeyn. You’ll be managing an international team of 10: data scientists, data analysts, and BI engineers. You will collaborate closely with our Data Engineering team and all head of departments. Your role will be to develop the data culture and insights to create a better user experience, help everyone in the company make better decisions, increase our operational efficiency and provide insights to external stakeholders. You will be sitting at our Executive committee and you’ll be reporting to our Chief Technical and Product Officer (CTPO).

Missions

• Create a working space and animate the team so that data team players can excel in their work and thrive, develop a culture where failure is the breeding ground for learning

• Develop our data culture within the company to make it more data informed and develop the personalization of our product at a user level

• Coordinate with stakeholders from all departments to increase efficiency and develop strong communication processes

• Supervise team projects and help team players to make sure objectives are met

• Improve the trust in data by improving the data quality

• Contribute to data architecture developments with our data science and engineering leads

• Build and share data roadmaps

• Direct management of 2 leads, 1 data scientist, 3 BI engineers and 4 data analysts

Who are we looking for

You have come to the right place if you have

• 2-3 years of experience managing a data team

• A very good understanding of technical and data issues and architectures

• Excellent communication skills and ability to explain complex technical topics in a simple way

• Excellent in project management

• Excellent in interpersonal skills

• Fluent in English
