Job description

What we are looking for

Yubo is looking for a Law Enforcement Manager to take over our law enforcement process and to start building our dedicated team to deal with related topics.

As part of the Legal Team, the Law Enforcement Manager will mostly partner with the Safety Team (investigation and safety specialists) to manage law enforcement requests, report illegal behaviors on the app to the relevant authorities (e.g. NECMEC), manage urgent and crisis situations (suicide, self-harm…). Work will also include working on the improvement of our reporting process, analyzing the numbers and efficiency of our process (transparency reports, flow improvement), and managing our relations with law enforcement agencies all around the world.

  • Your missions

Manage law enforcement requests from all over the world (preservations requests, data requests, emergency requests…)
Handle with the help of safety teams reports of illegal activities detected on the app to the competent authorities (e.g. Local Police, Pharos, FBI…) and partner organizations (e.g. NCMEC)
Qualify, manage and report to authorities all urgent situations in the necessary timeline
Work on building and improving our internal report process (e.g. analyze, transparency reports…)
Develop and manage our relations with local and international public authorities and organizations

Successful candidates will have the skills and experience to identify and precisely qualify the behaviors which need to be addressed but also the associated risks. Candidates should be able to adequately handle the relations with public authorities and relevant organizations and ensure a regular and precise follow-up. A strong background and interest in both legal and safety issues, related to online social media, are crucial for the position.

Candidates should be dedicated, rigorous, resourceful, analytical, and knowledgeable about law enforcement and online safety, have superior writing and presenting skills, and have experience in working on these areas.

Minimum qualifications

  • 5+ years work experience in law enforcement work related to safety and ideally at the intersection of technology, social media, and safety
  • Knowledge of Yubo products, features, platform, and policies, as well as knowledge of the online safety landscape, is essential
  • Ability to develop and/or build a network of partners and interlocutors within public authorities and organizations
  • Strong communication, analytic, organizational, and writing skills, proactive work ethic, and strong interpersonal skills needed
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment, think and move quickly
