WHAT YOU WILL DO

One of the key success factors for these systems is the user experience: most systems in this industry are old and not user-friendly, so we want to bring modern UX as a major competitive advantage. As such, we are looking for a profile who is keen on making a real difference through smart and beautiful design, and interested in the business aspects in order to understand the processes and workflow of the customers.

We are looking for a Lead Frontend Engineer that will take the responsibility of organizing a squad for all frontend developments related to our most successful application: CAYZN, a revenue management system for the transportation industry. Assuming technical leadership and a capacity to synthesize business requirements into frontend features, you will be in charge of the frontend roadmap for the application and receive the support of our Product Experts and Backend Engineers.

In practice – even though there is no typical day – you can expect to:

• Work closely with other software engineers, product experts, and the infrastructure team to solve a large scope of issues
• Be a technical lead for all Front-End topics, within the team you work with and within Wiremind in general
• Design and develop efficient and easy to maintain code
• Be proactive in the roadmap decisions to keep a good balance between refactor, scaling issues and new features
• Share your knowledge with other people and learn from others
• Help improve Wiremind’s technical stack by: tackling technical problems, strengthening our operational monitoring, using new framework / technos where needed, introducing new development practices, etc.

• Frontend: TypeScript, Angular, Redux, D3js
• Backend: Python 3.7+ with SQLAlchemy, Remoulade (our inhouse task queue), Flask
• Data-store: Postgresql, Elasticsearch, Redis, Druid
• Gitlab for continuous delivery
• Self hosted Kubernetes for infrastructure

WHAT IS IMPORTANT TO US

• You are an experienced Front-End software engineer
• You have a minimum of 3 years of front-end experience
• You are interested in solving business problems through technological solutions.
• You care about quality
• You have experience working with large codebases with multiple contributors
• You’re not afraid to refactor and improve existing code
