Senior Full-Stack Developer

Wingly is the leading flight-sharing company in Europe counting over 400,000 users. Founded in July 2015 by Bertrand Joab-Cornu, COO, Emeric de Waziers, CEO, and Lars Klein, CTO, the Paris-based company is now the largest online community of private pilots and passengers. It brings together private pilots and passengers who are willing to share the experience and the cost of a flight. This makes sightseeing flights, day trips and even cross-country flights more affordable for pilots and passengers. The goal is to open up private aviation to everyone.

Wingly is looking for an experienced individual to join our team as Software Engineering Manager. You would be splitting your time between managing and mentoring our engineers and coding. You will manage your project goals and contribute to product strategy. Finally, you will work closely with our VP of Engineering to build an organizational structure and processes that scale as we continue to grow.

What you will do

• Reviewing code to ensure high coding standards are met
• Communicating complex topics to stakeholders and business executives alike
• Motivate and mentor junior members of the team
• Being hands-on by contributing code
• Contributing in sprint retrospectives, sprint planning, & technical speccing
• Working closely with our UX and UI team members

Requirements

• 5+ years experience with Laravel framework
• Exprienced working with Vue
• High level knowledge for relational databases (MySQL)
• High level knowledge of OOP
• Automated testing with PHPUnit

Bonus points

• You have prior experience working with Nuxt JS
• You have prior experience with Tailwind CSS
• You have prior experience with Customer Data Platforms (like Segment) or Product Analytics & Tracking tools like Amplitude, or the Google suite (Analytics, Optimize, Tag Manager)
• You have experience with DDD
• You have experience with frontend testing (Jest, cypress.io)
