DevVops/Platform and Digital Infrastructure Engineer

We use genomics, data science, machine learning, and computational biology for genomic therapies to help companies cure more diseases at an affordable cost. We accelerate the discovery and selection of the genomics materials candidates of tomorrow’s therapies with an improved success rate.

WhiteLab Genomics is accelerating its platform developments to address the growing needs in the genomic medicine. The company is looking for a Cloud Solution Architect to reach a new level of automation and optimisation of its in house software developments, someone who will lead the required changes coordinating all the computer and data scientists into its next generation of solutions for its biopharma customers.

KEY RESPONSABILITIES

• Setup, automate, maintain and update:
  • Automatisation of pipelines (CI/CD)
  • Cloud Storage automatisation
  • Package versioning
  • Docker environment
  • Maintainance of code base
• VM and compute instances:
  • Connections to external and internal APIs
  • Website hosting
• Monitoring and security:
  • Assess and evaluate the cost and the security of internal architecture
  • Implementation of latest security patches
• Participate in:
  • Discussions with tech partners
  • Support for internal users

TECH STACK
• Cloud provider: AWS, OVH, (Azure is a plus)
• Code versioning tool: Github, Gitlab
• OS: Linux
• Container: Docker, Harbor
• Container orchestrator: Docker Compose
• Code base: Python, R, Javascript
• Security: LDAP, OpnSense

ABOUT YOU

Experience & Qualifications
• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field
• 3-5 years experience as a DevOps

Hard skills
• Knowledge of the tech stack or equivalent tools
• Experience with Docker
• Experience automating a CI/CD pipeline
• Experience in releasing pipelines
• Experience in security processes and monitoring

Soft skills
• Highly communicative
• Desire to suggest improvements to the architecture
• Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Nice-to-have
• Experience in HPC
• Experience working on data, big-data science projects
• Infrastructure as code tool: Ansible, Terraform
• Scripting: Yaml, Bash
