The position

Job description

We are actively looking to recruit a Development Engineer to be part of TISSIUM’s Development Team. This person will contribute to the development of new medical device solutions to address unmet clinical needs as part of the product development team.

The Development Engineer will report to the Senior Development Manager. The position is based in Paris, France.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • As part of the product development team, prepare, execute, and monitor project plans to meet agreed upon company goals and milestones.
  • With guidance from the Senior Development Manager, execute and/or supervise product development activities and produce related documentation: technical drawings, specifications, protocols and reports for the associated V&Vs including usability, but as well risk management file of products and systems.
  • Participate in the preparation of design documentation in compliance with Quality System Regulations (QSR), International Standards Organization (ISO) and company requirements throughout the project life cycle.
  • Perform analyses and technical evaluations in order to demonstrate that the product performances, manufacturability, safety and cost are consistent with the customer, regulatory and production requirements.
  • Coordinate and manage suppliers’ activities (communication of specifications, development schedules and progression tracking to obtain components…).

Job Environment/Interactions

  • Work closely with a cross-functional team and subcontractors/suppliers in order to meet project timelines in a cost-conscious manner.
  • Schedule, conduct, and lead various product development activities.
  • Challenge and/or support concept development activities to ensure safe and manufacturable products are delivered, in accordance with regulatory and customer requirements.
  • Maintain good working relationships with subcontractors.

Preferred experience

Qualifications & Skills

  • Engineering degree.
  • 2-5 years’ experience in Medical Devices development (including DHF and Risk Management activities);
  • Experience or knowledge in electronic and optical devices development.
  • Experience in project management and development studies conduction.
  • Understanding of a wide range of engineering technologies used in design, prototyping and manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of mechanical design relating particularly to mechanisms.
  • Excellent communication and technical writing skills in English.
  • Knowledge of how to articulate complex and conceptual information to others in a meaningful and relevant way.
  • CAD know-how.
