Job description
In this role, you will build and develop strong relationships with an international customer base via distributors and agents whilst identifying new prospects with key accounts and new customers in defined territories. This is an excellent opportunity for international sales professional who can demonstrate business growth in a life science, medical, and technological sector.
Working closely with technical, sales & marketing and our research teams, the Export Sales Manager will develop and pilot distributors and agents in identified key markets in Europe and beyond. Ideally from a life science and / or technology background, you will ensure distributors achieve targets whilst maintaining prices and profit margins, contributing to the business plan and annual budgets. We envisage the individual to travel up to 40% of their time in designated territories with a view to expanding this to new markets in Asia, Africa and Middle East in the future. Experience in working with hospitals and academic and key decision makers on technical solutions would be highly advantageous.
Missions involve :
-Define international export strategy and go to market plan
-Manage, implement and communicate pricing strategy to export distribution partners
-Build relationships with and manage the export partners in line with overall company strategy.
-Agree objectives with export partners and manage the forecasting and reporting on a monthly basis.
-Conduct Visits to distributors.
-Organize key exhibitions, presence at conference, international events with distributor to meet customers and generate leads in export markets
-Organize knowledge transfer to distributors where necessary
Preferred experience
The candidate will need to have previous experience of:
Export Sales, ideally in the medical sales environment.
Management of distribution partners previously.
Passionate self-starter who thrives on “closing the sale”.
Excellent commercial awareness.
English bilingual
Experience negotiating contracts and supporting customer tenders.
Excellent analysis and reporting capabilities.
