The position

Job description

Swan is looking for an Internal Controller to join its Internal Control team within the Compliance, Risk & Internal Control department. You will work closely with Manon, our Lead Internal Control.

This team is responsible for ensuring the security and safety of our banking features and always has to consider the best way to combine multiple areas, such as business, legal, regulatory, and customer support.

As both a technology and financial services company, Swan relies on its Compliance, Risk & Internal Control team to make these pieces fit together!

As an Internal Controller, your primary responsibility is to ensure the security of all processes at Swan and contribute to risk control through regular controls on diverses topics. You will work in collaboration with all the Swan teams (such as compliance, payment, sales, finance, etc.) to ensure the correct coverage and management of all risks.

Your mission

  • Define and update second-level control plans.

  • Conduct controls, analyze and report results, and make recommendations to improve risk management performance.

  • Follow up on recommendations from third-level periodic controls and support their implementation.

  • Conduct level-2 missions to evaluate the level-1 systems in place.

  • Manage the internal control tool and update the risk map.

  • Contribute to regulatory reportings.

  • Document procedures related to second-level control.

  • Support operational staff in formalizing their procedures and defining their controls.

Preferred experience

You’re a great match if:

  • You have a minimum of 2-4 years experience in Internal control / audit. Ideally you have an experience in a Fintech environment, payment institution or bank.

  • Ideally, you have an interest in tech (ability to read code, write SQL queries…) ;

  • Excellent communication skills to effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders, including Swan teams and regulatory authorities both oral and written ;

  • Strong ability to react, make decisions, be proactive in a rapidly changing context ;

  • Strong ability to adapt easily and quickly to the situation or the request ;

  • Good working abilities in English ;
