We are currently looking for a Product Manager for our Reconciliation squad, part of Payments Processing domain.

As such, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the core of SumUp’s product ecosystem - payment processing - by ensuring that SumUp has the necessary tools & processes to exercise financial control over merchants’ payouts and settlements from external financial institutions involved in card acceptance. You will be responsible for building a product to satisfy the need for timely, accurate and fully automated reconciliation of all money movements between SumUp and the acquirers, payment processors, card schemes and banks it partners with.

You will join forces with our accounting, finance, BI and payment operations teams to improve our company’s financial transparency and operational excellence by delivering accurate transaction and settlement data and tools and setting up, maintaining and analysing reconciliation KPIs that serve as early warning indicators of Sumup’s financial health.

Together with a local, autonomous and cross-functional squad, you will continue developing and improving a secure, scalable and mistake proof reconciliation platform and apply product discovery and delivery best practices to ensure that this platform grows with the speed at which SumUp attracts new customers and has the flexibility to serve the diverse needs of our clients and stakeholders.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:

  • Design reconciliation platform that satisfies various business requirements; drive the testing, implementation, and post-production support
  • Work efficiently with a team of developers, QAs, product analysts, and operational experts and manage stakeholders in the spirit of co-creation and mutual respect
  • Gather requirements and scope projects, facilitate discussions and drive resolution of issues
  • Apply product delivery techniques and product development best practices to build the product right
  • Work with data (user & process data, business & system KPIs) comfortably and make data-informed decisions

YOU'LL BE A GREAT FIT FOR THIS POSITION IF

  • You have 3+ experience in product management in an agile organisation, preferably in a similar business domain
  • You have a solid background in co-creating in a cross-functional, cross-location teams
  • You are able to maintain multiple initiatives without compromising results
  • You appreciate incremental software development with focus value
  • You have SQL skills. Skilled in reading, editing, and writing queries
  • You can inspire, excite and lead by example
  • You feel strong ownership and pride in your own and your team’s work
  • You enjoy responsibility and have a hands-on approach
  • You are an analytical and practical problem solver
  • You are fluent in English

AWESOME IF YOU

  • Have expertise in reconciliation, auditing, accounting, payments or treasury
  • Experience in building ETLs and reports
  • Have experience with large-scale systems
