The Marketing Assistant will report directly to the Marketing Manager and will be responsible for taking on a variety of tasks that allow for the successful completion of planned marketing programs. The successful candidate will perform phone surveys, assist in the development of marketing collateral, track existing marketing campaigns and report on results and coordinate market research studies.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
• Support the marketing team in organizing various projects
• Undertake daily administrative tasks to ensure the functionality and coordination of the department’s activities
• Develop and implement marketing plans and strategies
• Help conducting market research and analyzing customer feedback
• Assist with the production of marketing materials and collateral
• Employ marketing analytics techniques to gather important data (social media, web analytics, rankings etc.)
• Update spreadsheets, databases and inventories
• Assist in the organizing of promotional events (conferences, webinars, tradeshows, etc.) and traditional or digital campaigns
• Help maintain content on the company’s website and social media accounts
• Learning and working with various types of software for digital marketing
• Maintaining a marketing database
• Create reports on marketing performance.
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
• Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing
• 3+ years’ experience working in marketing
• Fluent in both French & English
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• High level of organization and attention to detail
• Comfort with multi-tasking in a deadline-driven environment
• Understanding of basic business and marketing concepts
• Excellent time management skills
• Ability to spot emerging trends
• Familiarity with social media, social networking, email marketing and search engines
• Creativity, use of Photoshop (or similar) would be a plus
• A previous experience in a Biotech company would be a plus
