The position

Job description

You would be responsible for building a compelling coordination of the overall knowledge delivery at Spendesk, from employee on-boarding to on-going training portfolio management.
You will report to the Chief People Officer and be located in Paris, yet your scope is global (Paris, London, Berlin, San Francisco).

Your main mission as learning & development manager:

  • Build the learning and development strategy to fuel all Spendesk audiences (Leadership, Revenue teams,
    Engineers, Support Functions …)

  • Deploy a wide variety of approaches and training methods: 360 Learning (e-Learning, called Spendesk
    Academy), on-site trainings, knowledge database, and other channels (podcast, conferences, etc..)

  • Manage end to end the learning and development function (budget ownership, KPI tracking, performancereporting)

  • Leverage cross-functional leaders feedbacks to constantly improve our internal systems in order to facilitate knowledge transfer and skills development at scale

  • Maintain a keen understanding of training trends, developments and best practices to provide pioneer
    methodology and content to the teams


Preferred experience

  • Significant learning and development experience (5 to 8 years) with full ownership of programme design and delivery (within the Tech industry is a plus)
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to liaise with senior stakeholders, various operational team members and other People functions.
  • True team player able to work in virtual teams and in partnership with stakeholders outside own team.
  • Proven record in facilitating training programs to diverse populations and a variety of teams (Sales and Non-Sales)
  • Proven ability to effectively train all organization levels from individual contributors to senior level leadership in order to maximize the performance of all employees
  • Familiarity with traditional and modern training methods (mentoring, coaching, on-the-job or in classroom training, workshops, etc) including on-line and digital (virtual class, e-learning, facilitation of community of practice).
  • Experience with behavioral assessment tools such as DISC, StrengthsFinder, MBTI, Predictive Index, etc would be a plus.
  • Project management and leadership competencies such as self-motivation, time management and organizational skills, attention to detail, adaptability, flexibility, and drive
  • Ability to learn and ramp-up quickly in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment
  • Proven autonomy, resourceful, and a problem-solver with results oriented personality
  • A passion for helping teams share best practices, with a desire to always be improving his/her work environment
  • Fluency in English (spoken/written), any other languages (French, German preferred) would be a plus
