Job description

As of today, the SINGULART tech team is composed of 15 skilled developers (6 lead, 6 senior, 2 confirmed, 1 junior) working remotely in 2 cross-functional teams. They are dedicated to creating the best user experience for artists, collectors, and SINGULART business teams. For the year 2022, our main challenge is to continue to fill in our mission, Empower the Artist, while we want to reach profitability by working on our conversion and retention metrics.

👩‍💻 As a SecOps engineer at SINGULART, you will

In a nutshell, you are the first engineer of the SecOps team with answers related to the security challenges that come with a growing, fast-paced company.

- Lead the security at SINGULART: This is a hands-on job to assess, document, challenge and manage our overall IT practices related to cyber security and data protection, on a day to day basis.

- You will work on processes, internal and external audits, security of devices and infrastructure, access management, data handling, backup strategy, employee awareness, automation of our security controls and system monitoring with on-premise and cloud based solutions.

- You will closely work with the CTO and all teams on technologies used in the company to improve our overall security systems & architecture.

💻 The stack we use

Our backend is running on one of the latest versions of Symfony and PHP 7.4. The platform is hosted on AWS, we are using Amazon Aurora to host our MySQL database, and Amazon SQS as queuing service.

We use GitLab as our DevOps platform, for code reviews, CI/CD & staging deployment. For manual testing, we deployed a Kubernetes cluster that allows us to deploy staging environments on the fly on each merge request.

We have a running Docker development environment that allows developers to work on the operating system of their choice.

For now, we're building our Web frontend application using only jQuery upon twig templates. This choice was made 4 years ago, at the beginning of the SINGULART adventure. Back then, the existing frontend frameworks were not mature enough to deliver a high-performance e-commerce website that was well optimized in terms of SEO thanks to SSR.
