Job description

Mission

You are in charge of a new business unit: Pay TV. Selectra already being on this market through internet subscription contracts, your role is to grow this business and its profitability. Your final target is to make Selectra a reference in the Pay TV business and grow the revenue of your business unit.

During the first phase of your mission, you will develop and test this new business in France, before internationalizing it in cooperation with local Selectra teams.

You report to the Head of Telecom Contents.

Mission details

Webmarketing [main mission during the first part of the job]

Development of the SEO acquisition channel

  • Fast development of your own expertise about Pay TV to guarantee high-standard quality of published contents and to suggest a relevant strategy.
  • Content writing : you are in charge of setting up a new international website dedicated to this topic

General management of the Pay TV business unit

  • You set up relevant KPIs, ensure their application and send reports on a regular basis 
  • You provide competitive intelligence and take the necessary actions to outperform and differentiate from competition.
  • You evaluate with the international teams the progress of each country on your market and sum up their expectations and recommendations.

Development [to be undertaken when the main mission is launched]

Development of partnerships

  • Development of sales for partnerships already secured
  • Search, negotiation and initiation of new partnerships
  • Optimisation of call-to-actions on the international website, and on local websites
  • Test and development of new sales channels including through our callcenter
  • Identification of new business development opportunities and complete leadership over their implementation
  • Sales reporting and invoicing follow-up

Global development of the business unit

  • Development of Selectra’s notoriety on the topic
  • Development of a Pay TV section on our price comparison websites in cooperation with the product team
  • SEO strategy to keep growing the website’s traffic. A fast progress in your SEO skills is important in order to eventually grow a team of freelance writers
  • Development of multilingual versions of the websites, in cooperation with local teams

Preferred experience

  • You have an outstanding academic background and have recently graduated from a Masters Degree
  • You are a hands-on, autonomous, rigorous and organized person. You learn fast and enjoy entrepreneurial challenges
  • You have good social skills, including attention to others and leadership
  • You have an interest for SEO: you preferably already have experience in SEO and the use of a CMS
  • You love TV and have a strong TV culture
  • You enjoy the start-up atmosphere and know how to progress quickly in defining and executing strategies
  • You speak perfectly two out of the following three languages: English, French, Spanish
  • You recognize yourself in the values of excellence, passion and humility.
