The Embedded Systems team of the Energy Management BU's electronics centre of excellence is a multidisciplinary team of 30 people focusing on digital electronics (ASICs, microcontrollers, microprocessors) for systems embedded in Schneider products, in order to support the group's digital transformation. In order to strengthen our skills in the field of microprocessors, we are recruiting a Hardware Engineer in High Speed electronic design.Your role :You will define, supply and make available quality design references around microprocessors for Schneider Electric's R&D teams.Your missions :
- define, develop and maintain future platforms based on high-end or multi-core microprocessors
- choose the components needed to meet the requirements
- support projects integrating them by taking part in the architecture and integration phases
- carry out investigations and produce prototypes using new market solutions to reduce design risk
You will work closely with :
- the architects in charge of gathering and defining future requirements to bring these innovative ideas to life
- software development teams, to ensure that their constraints are properly taken into account in the early stages of HW design
- user projects, to help them apply the best practices inherent in integration and architecture definition
- users/projects on previous platforms, to gather feedback and help them resolve any obsolescence and development issues.
In parallel with the work to create / build future MPU platforms, you will be required to work on innovation and anticipation topics to bring the digital future to life, as well as supporting existing offerings using older generations of digital platforms.
Your profile : - Electronics / microelectronics engineer
- Minimum 7 years' experience in digital electronic design (Architecture / Design / Verification)
Your skills : - knowledge of peripherals external to the processor such as NOR, NAND, eMMC, (LP)DDRx), Phy Ehernet, Power Management IC)
- experience of the same types of design, taking account of constraints (timing budget, power integrity, signal integrity) and the tools needed to manage them
- experience in digital electronics simulation (high-speed signal integrity, power integrity, Cadence Sigrity Suite, for example)
- knowledge of the PCB technologies on which these designs are implemented (HDI, stack-up, etc.)
- strong problem-solving, debugging and failure analysis skills
- good oral and written communication skills and the ability to work in a team and be part of a collective dynamic
- writing skills to formalise constraints and best practices in order to empower platform users
- ability to work in a multi-site, multi-cultural environment, where English is mandatory
- knowledge of Agile development principles.

We offer :Our offer includes an attractive remuneration package and goes far beyond.
- a competitive salary, an individual bonus and profit-sharing bonuses to reward your efforts
- benefits that make life easier : an extensive CSE catalogue, a health insurance scheme that meets all your needs, savings and pension plans with matching contributions, and an attractive share ownership scheme.
- professional development through training, mobility and internal promotion (local and international) and skills sharing
- an induction programme from day one to give you the keys to success at Schneider Electric in a culture that promotes diversity, professional fulfilment and inclusion
- a work/life balance thanks to our teleworking policy (up to 48% of time can be spent working from home, including equipment), support for parents, inter-company crèches, etc.
