Scaleway strengthens its Sales department with a talented Business Developer to lead the company’s global expansion with a first focus to Germany. This is a brand-new role with global reach in a dynamic, fast-paced team. This person will be responsiblA first focus to Germany :de:e for the effective design of long-term development strategies for all target audiences. You will develop the long-term vision and strategy for the internationalisation of Scaleway Elements, outside France, and manage day-to-day operations, with a focus on performance against key sales metrics.

The ideal candidate will be passionate about Scaleway and the potential that our technologies have to transform organizations with the right combination of compute power and storage that is flexible, cost effective, reliable, secure and sustainably powered.

They will have a proven track record of growing Iaas/PaaS solutions across EMEA through implementing a sales-oriented strategy for enterprise businesses, cloud natives and public institutions.
We are looking for a strategic, data-driven, thinker who can drive results through operational excellence and is able to move fast while keeping focused on go-to-market execution.

This is a hands-on role which requires excellent business skills to build and execute outbound prospecting campaigns, and build partnerships. This person will partner with cross-functional teams (including operations, marketing, communication, finance and product engineering), with the primary objective of enabling Scaleway Elements to scale across the region and attract and retain the most valuable and active client user base.

Missions

  • Identifying new business opportunities
  • Inbound and outbound campaigns (calls, emails, other activities)
  • Deliver awe-inspiring product demos and provide insightful technical answers
  • Build & structure commercial proposals and call for proposals
  • Support our partners to ensure success across the Scaleway Elements ecosystem
  • In-depth product expertise, understanding of the communications and collaboration landscape to sell a vision for how companies can change the way they work and strengthen their culture
  • Client portfolio management
  • Events organisation

About you

  • You are a native German speaker, and are fluent in a second language.
  • You have at least seven years experience in BtoB sales and successful experience in the IT sector, ideally in cloud computing.
  • You love hunting down new customers.
  • You have some technical knowledge and understand the culture of the IT sector
  • You write excellent business proposals
  • You’re a master negotiator and expert in sales techniques
  • You have some notions of project management
  • You are methodical and organised
  • You are inquisitive and always responsive
  • You are calm and resilient
  • You are quick to take action and agile
  • You are focused on sales, results and performance
