Your Team

To prepare for the company’s upcoming acceleration, a new team named “Platform & Services” is created to support our needs for transformation. This team will provide Engineering services (such as Hardware, VM, Database, LB, Queuing, Orchestrator, etc) to all product teams in order to help them focus on their true mission, i.e. bringing value to their products and to our customers.

As efficient startups use now PaaS solutions to create their products, our product teams will use our internal platform to build high-end products as well.

The Platform team is organized into “Engineering Verticals”, each vertical delivering one or more infrastructure products in a specific field of Software Engineering. This team is also responsible for securing and guaranteeing the day-to-day execution of these services and keeping them up & running.

About the job

This Position can be based in Paris, Lille or Remote

You will report directly to SVP Platform Engineering Nicolas BUQUET, with a very close collaboration our Head of Security, Baptiste LEROY.

As the Vertical Security Engineering Manager, your main task will be to build and monitor major security projects. As our company is rapidly scaling, we need to adapt our security architecture. You will be responsible for implementing our security roadmap and monitoring every action in the field.

One of your key responsibilities will be to avoid over-engineering, and always find a pragmatic approach when a technical problem arises.

In addition, you will directly manage a small group of engineers and help them coordinate and enhance their work and workflows.

As a manager, you will take care of your team. You will be in charge of administration tasks like planning and vacation, amongst others. An important part of the position is to individually improve the skills and knowledge of your team by getting to know each of its members (their strengths, limitations and aspirations). Together, you will find the most efficient way for you to work together as a team. You will also be responsible for monitoring and optimizing the velocity and delivery capacity of your team.

Salary Range:

77,000 - 96,000 EUR per year
