Within the Technical Division, you will join the Avionics Engineering Department, making 600 employees to date. In multidisciplinary Teams distributed around several Safran sites, we imagine together avionics equipment architectures for our future products of high technological value in the aeronautical industry.

Actor of the "Make-In-India", Safran is opening a new site in Bengaluru composed of software and hardware engineers, with the ambition to reach 100 employees within 3 years and to make Safran Bengaluru a leading pole of the Aerocity.

Your main activities will consist in :
1. Managing local hardware, product and project development teams
2. Leading, moderating, reviewing technical choices of your development team
3. Elaborating quotation
4. Ensuring compliance of deliverables (respect of Safran requirements and methodologies)
5. Ensuring content, cost and delay of deliverables
6. Reporting to the Technical Executive and project Managers
7. Participing in hiring your team
8. Proposing and implementing knowledge development plan
9. Ensuring the Bengaluru lab and offices are well equipped and that safety rules are respected.


The position is opened at Bengaluru, India.
Ability to travel, including to France.
A proficiency in English is required for this position.

Relying on your Master of Science in electronics or related, with a strong interest for the aeronautical industry, you are backed with an experience of 5 years or more in the driving of hardware teams in fields constrained by aeronautical standards, or close. Ideally you have already driven a team of at least 10 engineers.

You know how to build and follow a development roadmap, work with numbers, follow and commit to cost objectives, as well as communicate on your progress in a synthetic and relevant way.

You are able to quickly understand technical challenges and project ones, including in fields of which you are not an expert of, and are likely to offer solution steps throughout their resolution.
Self-reliant, you illustrate yourself as a good communicator, dynamic, rigorous, organized, and show an ease in building professional relationships through teamwork.

As manager of the technical team following skills should be evaluated:
1. Capability to identify skillset for the open work position
2. Setup and roll out of a recrutement and training plan
3. Mentoring of a hardware development team
4. Adaptation of the communication to different stakeholders
5. Definition and planification of budget for development, purchasing and maintenance of development and tests tools


The following technical skills will be highly valued:
1. Electronics PCB design, implementation and testing according to DO-254 standards
2. Development of embedded systems using FPGA or micro-controllers
3. Integration of communication drivers (CAN, ARINC, SPI)
4. Delivery of the electronic control unit qualification and certification artefacts
5. Configuration Management
