As a Regulatory Manager at Qonto, you will be responsible for advising everyone at Qonto on how to identify, prevent and manage non-compliance risks. You will be a key contact in the team to work on strategic & product initiatives to support Qonto’s hyper-growth.

👩‍💻🧑‍💻 As a Regulatory Manager at Qonto, you will

Actively participate in projects led by Qonto’s Strategy, Product, & Growth to advise on the regulatory requirements, and act as a solution-oriented stakeholder.

Lead on strategic regulatory analyses targeted for Qonto’s senior management, in close collaboration with the Lead Regulatory. Regular topics include licensing requirements, prudential rules, payment services, outsourcing, and data protection.

Manage the relationship with Qonto’s supervisory authorities, cooperating with the rest of the Regulatory team. You will ensure that Qonto provides accurate, precise, and consistent replies to our Supervisors.

Support Qonto’s teams in identifying non-compliance risks and in designing regulatory action plan to cover them. You will also ensure that Qontoers are trained on compliance topics.

• Be ready to tackle new challenges and take on new topics as the Regulatory team grows.

• Be part of the strategic projects for Qonto and interact closely with a wide variety of teams (Strat, Product and Legal, etc.) across our four markets 🇫🇷🇮🇹🇩🇪🇪🇸

• Work in a very dynamic and business-oriented Regulatory team (within the growing Risk & Compliance function)

• Be one of the key experts in Qonto's second line of defence to support teams in the compliance risk management

🤝 About your future Manager

Your manager will be Alexandre, our Lead Regulatory & Internal Governance.

His background? Has worked 5 years in Regulatory Compliance on international markets at HSBC, and is now leading a growing team of 4 talented people at Qonto (MerveVittoriaLaura, and Vincent). Alexandre has a deep understanding and knowledge of the regulation and its specificities.

What he can bring to the team? Upon joining Qonto, Alexandre created a collaborative and inspiring team from scratch. His scope not only includes France but also our international markets (Italy, Spain, and Germany). He will be the perfect manager to help you grow and understand the challenges of compliance in a hyper-growth environment.

Alexandre is our DPO and the one in direct connection with Qonto’s supervisors (ACPR, CNIL, branch regulators), this strategic position will offer you a lot of visibility on how the world of compliance truly works.

🏅About You

Experience: You have at least 5 years of experience in a licensed institution, with a focus on compliance.

Business-oriented & team spirit: You approach regulatory requirements through an operational lens and are open to challenge & creativity from the teams which you support.

Communication: You are sharp and smooth in communicating regulatory constraints & risks, incl. to senior management.

Mastery: You have a good master of the regulatory topics related to Banking, and more specifically Payment Services. You are able to explain them to any type of audience to highlight the non-compliance risk...

Languages: You are fluent in English and French. Italian, Spanish or German would be a plus.
