Job description

Qobuz USA is searching for a creative and organized individual to join our team as Music Merchandiser. This is a full-time position based in New York (currently working remotely and eventually from our Manhattan office), reporting to the Head of US Music Content.

The music merchandiser will help develop, implement and oversee on-site merchandising and editorial to drive customer engagement and commerce opportunities. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a collaborative mindset who possesses a broad and deep musical knowledge. The job will require a large amount of contact and collaboration with the team at the home office in Paris. Writing skills are required.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Helping oversee scheduling and implementation of merchandising and editorial content across our streaming and download platforms.
  • Assisting in the management of content and editorial calendars
  • Development and execution of editorial and merchandising strategies including playlists, album reviews and artist/label features
  • Management of promotions on the Qobuz download store
  • Building and maintaining relationships with our content partners
  • Close collaboration with the US and Paris teams on marketing and branding projects

Preferred experience

QUALIFIED CANDIDATES WILL HAVE:

  • Minimum of 5 years of professional experience and familiarity with the digital music industry
  • Strong digital music and/or music journalism background
  • Broad and deep knowledge of music across all styles, eras and genres
  • Strong writing and editing skills (writing samples are encouraged)
  • Experience in demanding, collaborative start-up or similar workplaces
  • Proficiency with content management tools, collaborative workflow platforms, and HTML.
  • Eligibility to work in the USA ; English as a native language
  • BA preferred
