Your mission:

In the last one year, our team grew from 10 to 45 people and raised more than 80 millions euros to strengthen our international growth in the BNPL payment solutions market (Italy, Spain, Portugal, Germany, UK, Netherlands, Austria, Switzerland and more to come!

As part of our rapid growth, we are currently looking for our future Junior Business Developer (German speaking) Apprentice who will support our French Business Development Team in their business activities, for 12 to 24 months.

This position is an opportunity to support the German market development of Pledg and participate in increasing the company’s sales and managing German accounts that are using Pledg’s service. You will:

  • Find potential clients / Manage sales process
  • Identify new development channels
  • Promote the company and its product/service
  • Manage Accounts

Your Responsibilities:

After a couple of weeks of immersion within the commercial team, your mission will be to work hand in hand with the lead business development manager for the DACH ( German, Swiss and Austria) regions. You will focus on generating leads - outreach, prospecting, and lead qualification - with a sales-driven perspective.

Further, you will identify new business opportunities, and in coordination with the team, reach out to the merchants and business partners.

  • Analyze the trends in the market and the company’s strategies to identify development opportunities
  • Identify and evaluate potential merchants to increase Pledg’s sales targets
  • Find contacts and reach out to merchants via email, LinkedIn, and phone
  • Manage merchants already using Pledg’s service
  • Support the search for new suitable business partners to increase Pledg’s networking capabilities and merchant reach
  • Participate in industry events to promote Pledg’s service

Preferred experience

You’re in the right place if ⭐

  • You are studying in a Bachelor / Master Degree school or you are nearly gradudated and is looking for a strong professionnal sales experience.
  • You are Fluent in German (preferred), any other European language would be an advantage.
  • You are rigorous, curious and is systematic organized.
  • You are open-minded, curious with good analytical skills.
  • Last but not least, you are higly motivated, hungry to lean and not afraid of going out of your comfort zone.
