Your mission

OCUS is seeking a dynamic and experienced AI Lead to join our team. The ideal candidate should have prior experience in building scalable Computer Vision pipelines, and experience in leading and overseeing the development and implementation of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies at an industrial scale.

Reporting to the CTO, the primary job missions include:

  • Leading AI technology projects: responsibility for leading and managing AI technology projects from conception to implementation. This includes defining project scope, identifying key milestones, and ensuring project deadlines are met.

  • Developing AI strategies: responsibility for developing AI strategies that align with OCUS’s overall business goals. This includes identifying areas where AI can be used to improve business processes and customer experience or be monetized directly.

  • Mentoring and coaching team members: the successful candidate will provide guidance and mentorship to team members, helping them to develop their skills and practices related to ML and MLOps.

  • Designing and implementing AI models: The AI Tech Lead is responsible for designing and implementing AI models that are scalable, and reliable. This includes identifying the appropriate machine learning algorithms and data sets to use, as well as developing testing and validation processes.

  • Collaborating with product, engineering, and sales teams: a key success factor in the role is to have a close collaboration with data scientists, software developers, and business stakeholders, to ensure the successful implementation of AI technologies.

  • Staying up-to-date with the latest AI trends and technologies: The AI Tech Lead keeps up-to-date with the latest AI trends and technologies, and ensures that the organization is leveraging the latest advancements in AI to stay ahead of the competition.


Preferred experience

What you will bring along

The candidate should be passionate about building production-level AI and ML technology.

They should have strong technical skills in AI and machine/deep learning (good knowledge of pytorch or scikit-learn, deep understanding of generative AI, distillation, and transformer models, reinforcement learning, recommendation systems, etc.).

In terms of model production the successful candidate should be familiar with the full model lifecycle model: training, validation, serving, and drift control for model performance management (MLFlow, DVC, etc.).

The candidate should also have experience in project management, strategic planning, and team leadership. They should also have excellent communication skills.
