Now you have your chance to seek the challenging role as Senior Operations Consultant with special focus on middleware products, such as IBM MQ, WebLogic, Tomcat and WebSphere including related products and tools. The role is based in Applications Infrastructure Services team in NNIT, which also provides services within a wide range of other types of applications, ranging from basic monitoring-based operations to full-stack platform management and consultancy.

Your Responsibilities

You will be part of a team handling daily operations, consultancy/advisory, standardization and optimization of middleware-related solutions for a wide variety of customers. This team is a so-called “extended team”, meaning that you’ll be part of an application’s entire lifecycle into the company – from the bid or pre-sales process, through to the advisory phase, conception in collaboration with the customer, build phase, hand-over to operations and subsequent operations and continuous maintenance. The team consists of approximately 70 employees across Denmark, Czechia and China, whom range from operations-oriented generalists to deep specialists within various middleware and adjacent technology areas.

Among specific tasks are:

• Participating in projects, such as transitions of new customers, migrations between platforms and upgrades of existing systems
• Advising customers on the roadmaps for their solutions and act as a trusted advisor
• Having a central role in identifying internal organizational gaps, participating in service development and pre-sales
• Taking part of daily operations with handling of incidents and change requests
• Optimizing, consolidating and automating our processes through Continuous Operations Improvement

Qualification and Experience

• You have deep experience working with projects and operations of middleware products, preferably IBM MQ and at least one of the above-mentioned application server products.
• You have a good business mindset and are used to working directly with customers, using your deep technological skills as well as understanding of consultancy IT services.
• You understand the necessity of testing and automation, which is key to working in this line of business.
• You’re comfortable in being a primary stakeholder and representative for your department in projects or otherwise facing our various customers.
• You thrive in a team setting and naturally ensure internal alignment and distribution of knowledge to optimize our deliveries.
• You’re fully fluent in English and preferably very accustomed to working in a global organization.
