Position Overview
Location: Paris (France) 
The Platform Team is a dedicated unit focused on supporting various verticals by leveraging both existing and newly developed Platform components.
Our team’s objectives are as follows:

  1. Implementing new features within its components to align with the roadmaps of each vertical.
  2. Enhancing the reliability, stability, and processing speed of managed components to optimize customer experience and bolster our competitiveness.
  3. Streamlining costs and refining existing production solutions to enhance overall business efficiency.

Two prominent components maintained by the team include a media processing engine, capable of hosting multiple workflows with configurable AI-based editing algorithms, and a web application designed for post-producers to efficiently detect and assign media for manual retouching.
In the capacity of a Platform Engineer, you will be instrumental in designing, building, and maintaining our platform infrastructure. Adhering to DevOps and SRE principles, your expertise will play a crucial role in ensuring the security, scalability, and reliability of our systems, ultimately facilitating the delivery of consistent and robust products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable and robust platforms to support our high-traffic services.
  • Implement and optimize APIs and backend systems to enhance application performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate new features and technologies.
  • Conduct code reviews, testing, and debugging to ensure high-quality code.
  • Stay ahead of emerging technologies and propose innovative solutions.
  • Define our operational excellence standards.
  • Shape the way Meero is delivering software on a scale.

Preferred experience

Qualifications/Skills

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in platform engineering or a related field.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering.
  • Expertise in Python development.
  • Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience with AWS.
  • Experience with containerization (docker,  K8s).
  • Expert-level experience in developing backend systems on a scale with a DevOps mindset.
  • Understanding of developing resilient, scalable and secure software.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal (French is a plus, but not mandatory).
  • Eager to learn, explore and take actions.
