MANGOPAY continues to grow at an incredible pace. The Data Team needs a Senior Data Analyst to help us deploy ourdata strategy and advise users to make decisions based on data.
She/He will be part of our Data Science and Analytics team, already composed of three Data/BI analysts and managed by the Lead Data Science and Analytics.
The Senior Data Analyst is someone who knows how to identify business issues and find a way to answer them based on data. You will be responsible, accompanied by the Lead Data Science and Analytics, for improving the data analytics offer and become a business reference for data-oriented decisions. This means you know how to identify issues with high analytical potential and apply scientific methods on them. On one hand, performing functional analysis means that you are able to speak the finance, marketing and compliance language, on the other, you should be technically capable to perform data analysis and visualisation in order to create business value for the company.
Responsibilities
Technical Requirements:
Data modeling in order to respond to business issues
Identify and create a synergy between the different data sources in the company
Continuously improve and enhance the performance, capabilities, and functional coverage of analytics solutions
Work with data engineers to find the best solution on the technical and analytical side
Coach junior analysts in their data exploration and analysis.
Functional Requirements:
Conduct research and analysis in order to come up with solutions to data business problems
Understanding client needs and being able to translate them to data analyses
Contribute to the democratization of the data governance approach in the organization
Perform and optimize reports for regulatory authorities
Required skills:
Strong analytical (statiscal, hypothesis testing, …) skills to identify risks & opportunities related to finance, compliance and marketing environment. Ability to propose actionable recommendations.
Knowledge of the financial environment (Bank, Fintech, PSP …)
Skills of working with data: gathering, preparation, data quality evaluation and monitoring
Knowledge of the Big Data/NoSQL ecosystem and ability to program in Python and SQL
Strong business acumen & results oriented
Strong written and verbal communication skills in French and English and ability to work in multicultural environment
Experience:
3+ years Data Analytics experience business performance oriented
Master or strong experience in statistics, data analysis or other related field
Nice to have:
Knowledge of agile models (Scrum and Kanban)
Knowledge in optimization algorithms, machine learning basics is a plus
