Job description

Part of our growth strategy is centred around attracting top talent to help us nurture our ongoing success. We are now looking for our first UX Writer.

Job description :

As a UX Writer, your mission will be to help the Lydia team provide a world-class user experience with the power of words. We strongly believe that a great user experience first starts with great copywriting so we need you to bring value and consistency into our product.

By experience, we know that a lot of bias exists in copywriting and it can have a bad impact on the UX and conversion rate for a user flow. Finance is a sensitive topic but we also aim to simplify it with words and add an emotional tone of voice to it.

Our first UX writers will play an integral role in our Product Design team. You will collaborate closely with Product Designers to ensure consistency and make sure everything we launch respects our guidelines. You will mainly work on French copy but we are also operating on the Spain and Portugal market.

🤓 What you’ll do:

  • Build from scratch the UX writing entity at Lydia
  • Collaborate with Product Designers and offer them tools and processes to respect UX Writing guidelines
  • Conduct permanent user research and data analysis to make sure we always apply the right word to our users
  • Build a glossary to bring more consistency
  • Help the Communication team of defining our tone of voice
  • Find the right balance between a user-friendly copy and a business-friendly one
  • Ensure that our translators (English, Spaning, Portuguese) are aligned with our tone of voice and the meaning of our french copy.

  • 👍 You are in the right place if you :

  • Have between 2-5 years of experience in UX writing, copywriting or content
  • Have experience in building UX Writing processes from scratch
  • Can write anything from error messages, navigation items to headlines
  • Have a strong empathy mindset to understand our users
  • Know how to conduct an A/B test
  • Know to be synthetic, “the shorter the better”
  • You have a keen eye for detail
  • Excellent french writing skills
  • Excellent English level

  • 🤩 And it’s a plus if :

  • You know another language than French and English
  • You are a Lydia power user and Fintech enthusiast
  • When applying, please provide an online portfolio or 3–5 UX writing samples.
Also, in your message, describe what would be your first move at Lydia to properly build this new UX Writing entity.
