The position

Job description

The mission of the Software Engineer (70% Back/30% Front) is to assist the tech team on delivering features, testing and code quality. To complete his/her mission He/She will be eager to learn with the team and can help with software decisions and execution. He/She quickly learns backend best practices and can apply them on a daily basis. For Frontend part, we don’t expect previous experience, just openness to learn at the occasion during the internship.

Personal

  • Development Passionate [must have] : Real passion for development (APIs, bot, new technologies)
  • Communication [must have] : Good communication skills, able to ask questions after searching on his own. Never stay stuck
  • Adaptability and Diplomacy [must have] : Adaptability to integrate the Groover Team
  • Eager to learn [must have] Being curious and wanting to learn. Willing to be mentored
  • Degree in engineering, computer science or similar technical field : Backend/Fullstack Developer needs to be the guardian of strategic decisions: database consistency, infrastructure security, performance, a well aware and conscious profile could be nice.

Technical

  • Has software competencies:
  • A good understanding of HTTP protocol and how a REST API works. [must have]
  • Good knowledge of Python and its standard library. [must have]
  • Any previous experience with a REST framework is a [nice to have]: Django, Flask
  • Versioning tool: Knows about git or similar versioning tools [must have]
  • PostgreSQL or mySQL [must have]
  • English knowledge (We have 7 nationalities in the team ;))
