We are currently looking for an Engineering Manager Data (m/f/d) to join our Engineering team in our office in Bangalore. Our Product and Technology team is autonomous and co-functional, operating in an agile environment with a customer focus. Our engineers, product managers, designers, QA, and analysts target outcomes rather than outputs, using OKRs to deliver our vision. Amongst many exciting challenges, you will: 

• Lead and hire for our high-performing independent teams of developers
• Take responsibility for our Data Products
• Ensure the highest class of data delivery for our internal stakeholders and Data Analysts
• Oversee and review the daily operations to ensure compliance with standards
• Set clear team goals and monitor the team performance
• Recognize high performance, reward accomplishments and devise strategies for individual performance improvement
• Coach and motivate all team members by encouraging creativity and risk-taking
• Conduct knowledge sharing sessions with presentations and exposure to tasks that help practice new technologies
• Create an open communication culture, by being open for feedback and supporting in conflict resolutions

We are a match if you are:

• Proven experience in development ETL, data flows and processing Data at scale
• Experience in implementing services and solutions using AWS Big Data, Analytics, or Data Engineering solutions
• Experience with Python, Scala and/or Java
• Experience with of Spark, Flink, MapReduce/Hadoop
• Working knowledge of relational databases and query authoring (SQL)
• Agile mindset, enthusiasm and passion to design/develop data-driven products
• Fluent verbal and written communication skills in English
