The position

Job description

As a Research Engineer intern, you will directly support our CSO in the R&D efforts to develop solutions for optimization of industrial processes.

You will be in charge of implementing and testing algorithms for various tasks. Depending on your interests & skills, these tasks will include task planning optimization, computer vision, as well as deep reinforcement learning applied to robotics.


Preferred experience

EyePick is a deep tech start-up. We are looking for candidates with a taste for research and strong computer science skills. You’ll be a great match with our start-up if you:

  • Are currently obtaining a degree from a leading engineering school or a top-ranked University M2 program
  • Have a passion for Applied Mathematics and Optimization
  • Are proficient in Python
  • Have strong skills in Dynamic Programming and Object-oriented Programming
  • Understand the principles of Reinforcement Learning
  • Are interested in reading research papers and applying their principles to real world problems
  • Are interested in building the core technology of a fast-growing start-up

Optional:

  • Have conducted/participated in a project involving Deep Reinforcement Learning for real-life applications
  • Understand the whats and hows of Deep Learning (Training procedures, explorations, etc.)
  • Have experience working with C++

Recruitment process

Start date: ASAP, applications accepted until 31-01-2021

Duration: 4-6 months

Location: Paris, Station F (biggest start-up campus in the world) + occasional trips in Europe
