Job Description

  • To support the team, the Company is looking for an intern to integrate the Financial Derivatives Paris team to help them ensure the business competitiveness among a demanding and fast growing environment. The job holder will be tasked with providing competitive intelligence analysis and support the team in its commercial activities with their banks, independent trading firms, brokers and asset managers client base across Western Europe, the UK, and the USA.
  • The new joiner will be notably in charge of helping the team to prepare its client interactions, by building presentations focusing on client volumes and rankings per product, and to closely monitor the development of the growth initiatives. Indeed aside, the historical product franchise, the Financial Derivatives team aims at generating organic growth by the launch of new products, the new joiner will help the team at on boarding clients and analyse the rising market shares, and follow the new revenue pools.
  • The intern will also be involved in the product marketing campaigns, building key messages around recent achievements, while maintaining the online marketing documentation up to date. In parallel, one of the key assignments will be to integrate the derivatives business of the newly acquired Oslo Bors in all materials, while providing help at harmonising the fee structures and business models.
  • The new joiner will be involved in the new service the Derivatives team aims to put in place so as to improve the distribution of its products to traders and brokers and more precisely to ease the arrangement of pre-trade negotiated transactions. He will be involved in the service design, its implementation by interacting with different stakeholders within Euronext or LCH SA, and in the client on-boarding in collaboration with the Membership team.
  • The individual needs to have excellent communication skills and strong learning appetite combined with some, at least, basic knowledge of the Equity Derivatives instruments and the Exchanges industry. The individual needs to wish to have the ability to work on diversified topics such industry competitive analysis, statistics reports on volumes and market share and products/services marketing. Highly motivated and talented, the intern will be fully integrated in the team. The new recruit will interact on a daily basis with employees from various departments, for which interpersonal skills are key.

Missions

  • Assist in the team's meetings preparation and follow up by providing client and products statistics.
  • Close monitoring of Financial Derivatives team products volumes and market shares.
  • Close monitoring of the business environment, and in particular on competitive intelligence analysis (new products, performance, potential differentiation, etc.).
  • Participate in the marketing campaign for our new products/services launches
  • Enhance the client database to increase the reach of the official communications to the trading participants.
  • Provide support for the integration of the Oslo Derivatives franchise in Euronext Derivatives framework
  • Provide support for new designed trading services aimed at improving Euronext Derivatives product distribution across the value chain
  • Provide support to product developers for product launches, or existing product enhancements to better service our trading clients needs.
  • Other ad-hoc analysis and projects to support the team.

The ideal candidate

  • Strong academic credentials from a leading Business School / University or Engineering School.
  • Previous internship in the Financial industry is a plus but not an absolute requirement
  • Knowledge of Equity Derivatives instruments
  • Understanding of the financial markets infrastructure
  • Results driven, tenacious, eager to learn
  • Sales / Marketing skills
  • Strong personal motivation and sense of autonomy are crucial
  • Rigorous, transparent and honest approach to work as high attention to detail are essential
  • Fluent English is compulsory, French or other languages are a plus
  • Social ability skills and strong team spirit are required
  • Knowledge of Bloomberg is a plus
