About the role

We are looking for a highly skilled CTO with a strong tech background. You are a passionate architect, with strong motivation to handle large technical challenges (UX,Front-End, Back-End and Infra). You are a business partner at heart, a technical leader, and willing to support the overall decision-making process.

As CTO and co-founder, you will:

  • Define our technical strategy and set up objectives to support our growth
  • Build our technical stack and ensure software security & reliability
  • Work hand-in-hand with our CEO Julien on the product strategy, measure the effort of the various features, anticipate and evaluate the structuring technical choices
  • Develop, deploy and maintain new features
  • Ensure code review and knowledge sharing across the team
  • Hire, mentor and manage the tech team, to allow them to grow and give their full potential

  • Build a scalable infrastructure
  • Build a highly performant and polished editor
  • Be very agile, user discovery is at the center of our project and our ability to iterate is our main advantage
  • Ability to abstract complex things to simple solutions for end-users. We’ll need to walk the fine line between the simplicity of use and the complexity of features.

🛠️ Tech Stack (indicative)

Everything is yet to be built, and you’ll be responsible for choosing and owning the tech stack. We have still a prototype with and indicative stack:

  • Front-End: React, Typescript
  • Back-end: node JS
  • CoreEngine: AWS Lambda, Serverless Framework
  • Infra: AWS, Terraform

Preferred experience

Requirements

  • Experience: you have 5+ years of software engineer experience on full-stack web apps. Experience managing tech teams will be valued
  • Entrepreneurial mindset: you thrive in fast-paced environments where you have broad responsibilities
  • Ownership mentality: you are a doer and have a bias for action, no task is below you
  • Organization skills: you know how to prioritize and split your tasks efficiently
  • Team player: you enjoy sharing and learning from each other
  • Initiative and innovation: you don’t hesitate to challenge and suggest new practices
  • Product lover: you fully understand what we want to bring to our users, and you are eager to deliver the best possible UX to them
  • Abstraction ability: you are able to step back and rethink our model globally
  • Strong attention to details: code quality is important for you and you set a high bar
  • Curiosity: you have already tested no-code, low-code solutions (Retool, Bubble, Forest , Integromat, Airtable, …) and believe that no-code and code are complementary
