EasyMile has new projects and the control squad inside the navigation team is growing! We are expanding our vehicles catalogue, therefore we are looking for our future colleague to help us improve our control stack. You will join a team of 70+ R&D engineers at the cutting edge of autonomous navigation technology.

Your future responsibilities

Mission

• Design, simulate, implement and tune longitudinal and lateral control algorithms for challenging navigation scenarios (high speed, intersection crossing, variable payload, jerk reduction, etc.)
• Participate in the continuous improvement of our algorithms: analyze logs from the field, troubleshoot and improve algorithms through computer simulation testing and vehicle testing
• Help define specifications and test plans with system engineers
• Establish the control architecture and performance targets with the planning, decision making and platform teams
• Work with integration, validation and test engineers to validate the performance of the controllers

• Partial remote is possible

Requirements

Essential

• 3+ years work experience in automotive control design (ADAS/motion control)
• Knowledge of vehicle dynamics
• Expertise in stability and control of linear and nonlinear systems
• Experience with software development (Modern C++, Python and/or Matlab/Simulink)
• Degree in Control Engineering, Automotive Engineering or equivalent
• Fluent in English

Desirable

• Experience with robotics frameworks such as ROS
• Experience with software version control and code review processes
