Position details

• Permanent full-time contract (CDI temps plein).
• Starting as soon as possible, depending on your availability.

EasyMile is extensively using modern Python to orchestrate system services at the heart of the autonomous driving cluster and the R&D team is growing! Therefore we are looking for a senior Python developer to lead and structure Python development. You will join a team of >50 R&D engineers at the cutting edge of autonomous navigation technology, and work in a modern & open source environment.

Your future responsibilities / Missions

• Lead and structure Python development in the R&D team; helping fellow developers to progress
• Design, document, implement source code with focus on long term maintainability, code quality and cybersecurity
• Proactively propose and experiment with new technical solutions
• Participate to the roadmap definition and technical choices for our Linux based operating system
• Support Integration, Validation and Support engineers to troubleshoot issues and identify root causes

We are looking for:

• Strong experience with Python development in production systems
• A deep understanding of software design, data structures, and algorithms
• An aptitude for analytical problem solving
• Experience and strong affinity with modern Linux, systemd and system development
• Experience designing asynchronous distributed systems
• Strong attention to cybersecurity, maintainability and usability
• Strong familiarity with source code version control systems like Git
• Knowledge of Software Quality assurance, Continuous testing
• Professional level in English

Desirable:

• Willingness to work in an embedded environment
• Experience with Linux container building blocks and tools like namespaces, cgroups, eBPF, Podman, Docker, …
• Experience with build management tools (Make, Jenkins)
• System administration and bash scripting
