Job Description

You will contribute to one of the most ambitious technology projects in crypto today: building a trustless custody infrastructure for the trillion-dollar digital asset industry.

You will join an amazing team of leaders (CTO, CPO, VP of Research) and experts (R&D Engineers, Software Engineers, Security Engineers) in a highly challenging and collaborative environment.

We are looking for an Infrastructure Engineer who is detail-oriented, proficient with technologies and hardware, and who flourishes in high-pressure environments. You will be involved in a variety of activities, from merging corporate systems to ensuring that voice and data flow smoothly through the organization. You will maintain and scale the virtualization environment for the company, stabilize the cloud environment through capacity planning and resource management, and troubleshoot network, storage and computer-related issues across datacenters.

As a Senior Infrastructure Engineer, you will be leading the implementation and operations of all technology infrastructures which includes data center, network and server services, telephony, service monitoring, user support/help desk, workstation management, servers, storage and related software. You will ensure the availability, integrity, and security for all IT systems and infrastructure.

Mission

Your primary goal will be to work with software engineers and other stakeholders to plan, deploy and maintain company infrastructure including cloud, network connectivity, and datacenters, while ensuring scalability, reliability, resilience requirements are met.

Example of a primary metric would be Uptime Rate.

Your day-to-day projects will involve:

  • Ensuring scalability and high availability of the product, as well as implementing best software engineering practices.
  • Building, operating, and ensuring the security of the product.
  • Evaluating product code according to specifications, and gathering product requirements (e.g. functionalities, performance, security standards)
  • Deploying, maintaining and terminating operating environments.
  • Responding effectively and speedily to any problems, and documenting all reported malfunctions and actions taken in response.
  • Working with the security team to ensure mature infrastructure security postures.
  • Ensuring utmost uptime for entire network services and servers, and ensuring that systems are safe and secure against cybersecurity threats.
  • Ensuring sufficient networks redundancy to warehouses.
  • Implementing important operational metrics collection, aggregation and visualisation.
  • Authoring and updating internal and external documentation.
  • Facilitating cross-team communication and know-how exchange between team members.
  • Implementing technical best practices and new ideas to encourage innovation within your team.
  • Keeping abreast of the latest developments in crypto, DeFi and blockchain to feed the company's strategic orientations.
  • Continually researching current and emerging technologies and propose changes.

Requirements

  • 6+ years experience as an Infrastructure Engineer, DevOps or SRE.
  • Understanding of languages, like Rust, Go, Python, and/or Typescript.
  • Engineering expert capabilities of challenging the reasoning of other engineers.
  • Experience administrating, scaling, tuning RDBMS or NoSQL databases.
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, GCP, and setting up environments between them.
  • Experience building CI/CD pipelines, 12-Factor App, and domain-driven microservices.
  • Solid experience with Infrastructure as a Code like Terraform.
  • Understanding of Functional Programming, Object-Oriented, and Logic Programming.
  • Experience in implementing observability of complex, distributed software systems.
  • Experience testing secure, fault-tolerant, and resilient systems.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Humble, respectful, and very professional to others.
  • Able to decide even in stressful, unstable situations.
  • Appetite for Cybersecurity, Fintech, Blockchain and/or Crypto industries.

  • Salary: €100-200K / year (avg base range).
  • Equity: 0.1-0.3% (≈ €3.6-10.8M in case of €2B exit).
