Your impact: bring our bags' materials to life
At Decathlon, within the BAGS Process, material is at the heart of the user experience.
As a material designer, you play a central role that bridges market trends, the specific needs of sports, and technical solutions for our entire range of luggage (bags and luggage). Your mission is to define, develop, and guarantee the aesthetics, performance, durability, and accessibility of our products by creating an inspiring collection of flexible materials.
You are a true creative capable of inspiring teams and transforming emotional material concepts into concrete solutions.
Key responsibilities:
Reporting directly to the BAGS Design lab director and based at the BAGS industrial process (close to technical experts and the workshop), you will work closely with the offering, design, and component development teams, as well as with product designers across different sports.
The profile we are looking for:
- You have a strong aesthetic sensibility (aspects, finishes, color/material associations) and a focus on detail and excellence.
- You are creative, curious, and have a talent for identifying trends.
- You possess analytical and synthesis skills, are proactive in proposing solutions, and love working in a team.
- You are highly organized and autonomous, and know how to mobilize teams (functional leadership) around a project.
The BAGS team spirit
Join the BAGS Process, one of the five processes within the Soft Equipment community, where kindness, cooperation, ambition, and fun define our mindset. Around thirty passionate colleagues are dedicated to this scope, distributed across Lille, Passy, and Hendaye.
Are you passionate about component design in luggage? If you wish to shape the aesthetic and technical future of our sports products, contact us!
