ABOUT THE TEAM :

You will be joining the API & SDK feature team alongside : Roland COULIBALY (Software Engineer), Illia CHUIKOV (Software Engineer), Benjamin BITTON, (Software Engineer) and Teddy ALCABELARD, (Software Engineer) and Jean-Maurice RABOUDE, (Software Engineer Intern)

You will be reporting to Benoît LALANDE, Engineering Team Lead.

The team focuses on developing and maintaining the services needed for the booking engines, and provides APIs to our clients inside and outside D-EDGE. The team is responsible for the product it manages, from implementation to bugfix, from deployment to monitoring.

YOUR MISSION:

As part of a fastly growing engineering department, you are in charge of maintaining and managing evolutions of our SaaS solutions for the distribution of hotel rooms and offers via integrated booking engines (Internet Booking Engines – IBE) on white label hotel sites. The booking engine is a complex product built with the microservice architecture, containing dozens of applications and services. Your scope covers all stages of development of these web services, standalone services and web applications, and involves working together with multiple teams.

Main Responsibilities:

Project Management

  • Plan, design and follow-up technical projects.
  • Participate in the design of software architecture and technical choices.
  • Maintain the right balance between technical innovation and the need for mature solutions.
  • Ensure the proper documentation is written and maintained, and provided to the relevant teams.
  • Demonstrate autonomy in the organization and delivery of the project.
  • Collaborate with various teams to ensure the proper integration of APIs across the D-EDGE Product Family.

Quality and performance

  • Ensure high standards in development and quality are met and consistent.
  • Ensure that technical choices are consistent with the general architecture principles, mature, and will be maintainable in the long term.
  • Ensure that the technical debt is managed and under control.
  • Ensure consistency and reusability of the components used.

Development & Innovation

  • Participate in the development, as well as in the improvement and maintenance of the components.
  • Ensure a streamlined, high quality code delivery (code reviews, pair-programming).Initiate and evaluate technical experimentation and innovation.
  • Follow-up the evolution of web technologies.

Preferred experience

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR :

  • You have 5+ years of experience as a .NET/C# developer; knowledge of other environments is a plus
  • You have a knowledge of web technologies and frameworks (especially JavaScript, TypeScript)
  • You have a knowledge of microservices and service bus architecture
  • You have the ability to analyze, understand and design software architectures with security, reliability and performance objectives in mind.
  • You are familiar with the project and software engineering past and present popular methodologies: SCRUM.
  • You are a problem solver, with the ability to go deep into details whenever necessary.
  • You are able to collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • You speak and write French and English.
