The position

Job description

As the General Manager’s chief of staff, you’ll be at the heart of Colonies’ German entity’s development and management. You’ll work closely together with the General Manager to define strategies that will ensure the success of the company. Your missions will be very diverse: from tactical to financial and more operational tasks, you will be required to use a wide-ranging set of skills. This position is a real challenge and a great opportunity for an ambitious student wanting to take on responsibility and to actively contribute to a young company’s development and success.

YOUR MISSIONS:
Strategic:

  • Create strategic analyses and dashboarding for the General Manager and investors
  • Build competitive and sectoral analyses to identify future development areas
  • Participate in the strategic reflections on Colonies in Germany

Reporting and Financial Management:

  • Prepare internal reportings: construction, monitoring of dashboards and implementation of indicators
  • Support in preparing reportings for our business partners
  • Coordinate monthly submission of financial accounting with our accounting firm

Punctual:

  • Take part in the opening of new colivings in Berlin and Germany (give a hand at pre-openings, test what living in the new residence feels like, if all appliances work properly, etc.)
  • Join events with Colonies tenants
  • Support teams with operational tasks (e.g. last minute move-ins)

Preferred experience

You are ambitious, multi-skilled and passionate about what we do at Colonies.
You are well organized, proactive and like to condense information in well-structured reports. You have excellent Excel and Power Point skills.

You have an entrepreneurial mindset and love working on challenging topics and projects.

You like helping out and thus do not mind giving a hand to the team on more operational or administrative tasks when needed.

OTHER INFORMATIONS :

  • 6/9 month internship, internship agreement mandatory.
  • Fluent in English, German desirable, French is a nice bonus.
  • Based in Berlin.
