During this extended period of working from home, we’ve launched Wellness @Checkout.com, a global initiative to support the mental and physical health of our people.
From global fitness challenges and nutrition workshops, to crowd-sourced infographics and bespoke short-form video content, our aim is to cater to as many learning styles as we can. The response has been fantastic, with over 70% of the business zooming in to our Wellness @Checkout.com events.
Each week we’ve focussed on a different timely wellness topic and there’s been so much fantastic content it’s hard to pick our favourites, but here are three standouts.
Week three was all about helping the business stay active, and we launched a global challenge to get our people to submit videos of themselves demonstrating their favourite at-home exercises and nominate others to do the same. With entries from nine countries, Checkout.com now has its very own workout video.
Week two’s topic was Mental Health and had our very first Positivi-Tea session led by our CEO, Guillaume Pousaz, a space for chat and light relief, especially for those that might be home alone. It’s amazing how much you can get through in half an hour - we covered favourite video games, quarantine baking habits, and of course, Tiger King.
Finally, way back in week one we tackled Nourishment, and had a live nutrition workshop by personal trainer and nutritionist; Jennifer-Jayne Stone. The session was truly fascinating, looking at how working from home affects the body’s demand for fuel, as well as learning about nutritious foods to be enjoyed on a financial budget.
