Job description :

Junior Underwriter, Non Life treaties, for the following markets : Central Eastern Europe, Baltic countries, Nordic countries.
He / she will be in the Business Unit Central and Northern Europe, reporting directly to the head of the Business Unit.
With the short to mid-term aim to grow up in an underwriting role, which includes developing new business, interacting with the clients, negotiating the conditions of the treaty contracts.
Supports Senior Underwriter for underwriting activities on all non-life treaty business in those regions with the exception of the ones handled by the Specialty lines Business Unit.

Renewal activities :

  • Quoting business in collaboration with actuary,
  • Analyzing and proposing treaty terms and conditions for existing and new business according to the guidelines,
  • Working closely with actuarial and administration teams.

Non-renewal activities :

  • Study special acceptance requests / endorsements during the year and respond to the client on timely manner
  • Develop knowledge of market dynamics to support the underwriting performance and strategy for those regions by analyzing results of the business and providing management reports
  • Use efficiently and update regularly the key performance indicator tools such as CRM.

Preferred experience

  • 0 to 3 years experience in reinsurance / insurance.
  • A bachelor or a master degree.
  • Strong analytical skills ans good attention to details.
  • Open minded and keen on learning.
  • Good level on MS office tools including advanced Excel experience.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Fluent in English and in German.
  • Good teamwork skills
  • Keen on taking on responsibilities.
  • Demonstrates flexibility and adaptibility to work in a challenging environment.
  • Reinsurance / insurance knowledge would be a plus.
