As part of a shared responsibility of the Production & Infrastructure Team, this position ensures a healthy life cycle of production services, applications and information systems, including server, storage and network infrastructure, and promotes the adoption of technical standards and best practices using L2/L3 expertise for business as usual (BAU) needs and purposes of project requirements and troubleshooting. Additionally, this role liaises with internal and external IT departments and cooperation with multi-cultural teams in Continental Europe (CE).

This role covers following activities

• Administration of Veritas Backup Exec in on premise DC infrastructure and IBM Spectrum Protect (ex TSM), IBM Spectrum
• Take care backup technology and storage technology area with focus on quality and overall stability
• Responsible for the resolution of business critical incidents by providing extensive knowledge and expertise to solve it
• Resolve and diagnose incidents / problems in backup and storage area
• Keep tracking market trends on Veritas / IBM backup solutions and DELL EMC / Netapp storage technologies
• Be able to setup enviroment capacity analysis and overall proposals for capacity planning backup and storage solutions are and enviroments (on-premisse and DC)
• Full support and care about backup technology and storages technology area with focus on quality and overall stability
• Participation on infrastructure projects and renewal plans related to backup technologies, storage solution and participation in Linux area with senior colleague
• Ad-hoc tasks assigned by the line manager and good cooperation in team across CE region wittin Infrastructure scope of delivery

Your profile

• Experience in a similar position (ideal is at least 3 year experience within IT infrastructure area)
• Overall experience with infrastructure technology (virtualization, networking etc.)
• Fluent in english – min. B2 level
• Experience with backups strategies in heterogeneous environment (VMware vCenter/ESX, Linux, MS Windows, Databases, ERP)
• Experience with Storage solutions (DELL Compellent, EMC Unity, NetApp) SAN (Cisco Nexus, Brocade), NAS (Synology, QNAP)
• Practical knowledge of ITIL procedures and mechanisms (incident, change and problem management)
• Orientation in SAN fabric, FCP protocol, FC routing etc
• Experience in deploy, configure, monitor and maintain Linux servers (RHEL 7,8) – nice to have
• Experience in application support (internal middleware applications, ERP - UNIT4 Coda Financials, Axway Transfer CFT Cross File Transfer etc.) – nice to have
• Windows/ Linux system administration from system administrator perspective - Nice to have is
