The position

Job description

In this role you will have a variety of responsibilities ranging from day to day support, to being the owner of the Global Talent Management Program.

Typical tasks include:
People Experience & Operations

  • Be the country point of contact for the Blendle team based in the Netherlands
  • Work with the Global team to improve, standardise and implement cross-regional processes relating to the HR lifecycle
  • Partner with the Head of HR to successfully integrate Cafeyn and Blendle including tools, processes, policies and systems
  • HR Admin (employee contracts, documents, wgv, Sickness reporting to Arbo dienst)
  • Be the point of contact for policy based questions from employees (eg vacation, sickness, HR data etc)
  • Facilitate a great New Hire Onboarding experience with the Managers and IT. Provide managers with the tools and templates for the ‘first 30 days’ and any training needs.
  • Prepare monthly payroll submission for our external payroll provider (leavers, changes, extensions, new hires) and keep our payroll system up to date

Global Talent Development

  • Create and maintain access to a learning program and facilitate access to resources, tools & budget
  • Be a hands-on personal coach, mentor and guide for professional development
  • Maintain and develop templates for individual growth plans and hold managers accountable for
    encouraging growth
  • Conduct a quarterly team review with managers to identify talent/potential/succession. Work with managers to create effective development programs
  • Partner with the Leadership team and Managers to ensure that the people program continues to align with the company goals

This role works at the local level for People Experience & Operations, and at the Global level for Talent Management giving you exposure to a hugely diverse group of people and different cultures.

You will work across many teams, Tech, Product, Growth, Editorial so your flexibility and adaptable communication skills should be top notch!


Preferred experience

We are looking for a candidate who is:

  • Self starting and can work without daily supervision
  • Proactive
  • Able to think at both a local and global level and work across multiple nationalities
  • Experienced in talent management
  • Loves change and is a change management ambassador
  • Able to be hands-on as well as thinking at the program level
  • Happy to get stuck in to day to day work as well as projects
  • Has a feeling for tech and Journalism
  • Scale-up experience is a bonus but not essential

Experience:

  • Prior experience in an HR partner, generalist of Talent Management Role is required
  • Experience working on a talent program
  • HROPs is highly preferred but not essential in lieu of the other skill sets
  • Dutch labour law at a minimum (additional countries are appreciated but not essential)
  • Able to speak English, Dutch. French is a definite bonus.
  • Minimum qualification : higher professional education
