Olivier started his career at Apple as a software engineer and gradually made the move to engineering management over time.

After spending five years in California managing the teams responsible for the client-side software for iCloud, Olivier moved back to Paris to join BlaBlaCar in September 2017.

He’s passionate about products that change people’s lives, about complex systems and about scaling teams to their full potential.

His mission: take BlaBlaCar to the next level!

Max has always been passionate about open source database ecosystem. He was initially MySQL DBA at Virgin Mobile and joined the BlaBlaCar adventure in 2014 as Database Architect. He is now leading the Data Infrastructure squad in the Foundations team. His obsession is to remove friction around all database management topics: deployment, service discovery, troubleshooting, monitoring…

They two key challenges in the BlaBlaCar's data infrastructure are to build and maintain a fully containerised production environment and to follow a Service Oriented Architecture migration to unwind a historical PHP monolithic.

Note: Max is always ready to experience freshly ground coffee, wherever the hip coffee bar is!

Ricardo is a senior software engineer with over 5 years of experience working on Android apps. Over these years he has worked on his own apps, at Citymapper and currently at BlaBlaCar, where he is leading the Android development of BlaBlaLines, a new service focused on short-distance carpooling. His experience includes working with clean architecture best practices, different aspects of the Android SDK, coding in Java and Kotlin, and using well established libraries such as RxJava and Dagger.

After having worked for 10 years as a software engineer in different fields and companies, Gaëlle moved to management while working at Amazon in Seattle. She joined BlaBlaCar in early 2017 and now leads the mobile development and quality assurance teams. She likes her teams to be independent, to own their processes, and to be self-sufficient to a point where they don't need her anymore to deliver high quality software or to organize team-building events like golf or surfing lessons. And yes, she's always up for outside activities as long as she can find a babysitter!
