Back Market is now looking for its next FP&A Group Reporting Lead. Reporting to the Head of Group FP&A, you will be a key player of the Finance team and you will contribute to shape the future of finance at Back Market. You will be working in a very close coordination with other finance teams (among which accounting team first) and business teams.  

YOUR MISSION (IF YOU ACCEPT IT): 🥇

  • Lead and coordinate the Group monthly financial closing / reporting process for all subsidiaries
  • -Work closely with internal and external accounting teams in all subsidiaries to ensure transmission of robust and harmonized monthly financial reporting

    -Actively participate into the preparation of the Group monthly financial packages, to be shared with the Executive Committee and the shareholders

    -Coordinate and continuously improve the monthly reporting processes with subsidiaries (e.g. fast close, automation, additional analyses)

    -Ensure a proper reconciliation between accounting and reporting·      

  • Lead the budget and the reforecast processes for the Group
  • -Planning definition

    -Data preparation

    -Communication & presentation

    -Support to business teams and country managers on the construction 

  • Keep on improving the Group financial performance and be a key business partner to help drive the business
  • -Monitor each country performance in collaboration with the General Managers of each entity

    -Perform gap analysis vs. budget / reforecasts, and recommendations to the business executives

    - Realize ad-hoc strategic analyses in coordination with the company executives

    - Maintain and update the analytical accounting structure of Back Market to make it relevant and efficient·    

  • Invest time and efforts to map and industrialize company/group processes
  • -Contribute to documenting the processes within the FP&A team

    -Work closely with Tax and Accounting teams to implement and improve our Group processes (e.g. management fees agreements, transfer pricing policy etc.)·      

  • Be a strong strategic partner for the openings of new legal entities and Back Market geographical expansion
  • Lead and develop a very talented Group reporting FP&A team (2 persons to manage to date)
  • Take an active part into the development of Back Market and the structuring of the finance team by help implementing / maintaining / connecting the right management tools to automate and improve the quality of the financial information (Anaplan, ERP, dashboarding, KPIs)
  • YOU ARE IN THE RIGHT PLACE IF: ⭐

  • You hold a master’s degree in Finance (or equivalent)
  • You bring to the table at least 5 years of experience in corporate finance, of which meaningful experience in FP&A. An audit background is definitely helpful
  • You love to work in a fast-changing environment. Ideally, you already have a strong experience in a start-up / scale-up, and / or in a marketplace environment
  • You are fluent in both French and English
  • You are a reliable team player with a strong sense of accountability and ownership
  • You are highly organized, motivated, analytical, have a sense of urgency and an ability to prioritize tasks
  • You have excellent financial modeling and scenario analysis skills, including the ability to build excel-based decision tools, sensitivity tables (expert user of Microsoft Excel is a must)
  • You have excellent verbal/written communication skills with ability to synthesize recommendations from analysis
  • You are a hands-on person able to dive into accounting, tax & reporting issues
  • You have an unquestionable credibility and integrity
