About the job:

Within our Quality Team and fully integrated into an agile team as part of our Search&Reco squad, you will develop both manual and automated tests at user level with the latest testing tools. As an Engineer, you will autonomously lead the project from the ground up, building QA processes for Search&Reco from scratch. Working on a complex scope, you will liaise with many stakeholders to understand the product requirements, obtain testing data and to build and implement an aggregated plan.

You also will leverage the shift-left principle by writing quality guidelines and improving the team’s processes.

Our QA Engineers work with Software Engineers, Product Management, UI/UX Designers, and Customer Support. This allows them to fully understand the feature and customer usage to develop test plans and test suites that replicate real-world environments and client focused regression tests.

You will use your coding skills to debug problems using log files and real time monitoring. Other responsibilities include updating automated tests and non-regression automation tools as well as evaluating risks and being part of the team deciding on go/ no go when it comes to new releases.

What you will be doing:

  • Communicate with a wide range of stakeholders (users, developers, other technical teams and management) to have a deep understanding of the product and collect requirements
  • Propose new, quality ideas and solutions to the team based on those requirements. Evaluate and defend those solutions whenever necessary 
  • Build the automation framework and testing from scratch for your squad - you will need to build and run the process from the ground up
  • Evaluate new functionality and create test strategies and test cases to assess functionality quality in all countries where BM is implanted
  • Provide detailed status reports, Bug Management and KPI reporting for a wide range of stakeholders
  • Work closely with the QA Team to help improve quality guidelines & processes in your team(s)
  • Work on top notch tooling and frameworks (Java, Python, Selenium, Pact, Optics…)
  • Work on CI/CD and microservices testing strategy and tooling

    • Who you are:

  • 5+ years of Quality Engineering and/or test engineering experience
  • Proven experience in leading a project from scratch, from conception to execution
  • Competencies in Java, Python, or equivalent coding language
  • Automation framework knowledge (Selenium, Appium, RobotFramework) is mandatory
  • Skills in DevOps (CI/CD) Docker, Kubernetes
  • An experience in an E-Commerce or Marketplace environment will be a plus
  • Autonomous in implementing and maintaining quality test automation for both mobile and web applications is essential 
  • Ability to work on a broad scope, to take a step back and evaluate your work against team & company objectives
  • Strong focus on customer experience, curiosity about how things fit together, and a passion for driving improvements to raise the overall quality level of our software and environments
