Within AXA Life and Health International Solutions "ALHIS" and in particular within the Local Solutions team, you will be directly contributing to the pricing, design and setup of reinsurance/insurance programs in different areas around the world (USA, Europe, India, etc.), to support in the topline growth, while controlling the underwriting risks and enhancing the profitability of different portfolios. You will also play a role in underwriting and validation of international EB requests from MAXIS GBN.

As a Life and Health Underwriting Expert, you will have full responsibility for a portfolio of life and health reinsurance/insurance contracts in one or more geographical region.

Your main mission is to cover several International zones by carrying out the following tasks:

·        Participate in RFPs for international reinsurance/insurance and be responsible for proposing the technical solution that is best suited to the clients’ needs and is most competitive 

·        Support the business development teams during the RFP process, with the capacity to negotiate and explain the technical aspects with the brokers/clients.

·        Assist in the developing and implementation of contracts: drafting of different contractual documents, negotiating them with the ceding companies, validating with AXA’s Legal department and assuring the compliance with the regulatory/company’s guidelines.

·        Monitor different portfolios and control the risks: analyzing the profitability of contracts, performing periodic technical studies, monitoring any deviations, proposing the necessary actions and negotiating these decisions with the business development and the clients/brokers.

·        Design innovative reinsurance programs that bring value to local insurers around the world while protecting the profitability of our portfolio.

·        Contribute to the preparation and presentation of large deals to AXA France Risk Management Committee and AXA Group Underwriting Committee for validation.

·        Review substandard EB requests prepared by MAXIS GBN Underwriting that require AXA France validation.

·        Follow-up on MAXIS GBN technical and operational initiatives to achieve AXA’s profitability.

·        Manage the technical relations with our principal partners (ceding companies, brokers, etc.)

·        Provide support to junior team members and accompany them on complex topics.

 Additionally, you will also play a key role in project management, by having the following duties:

·        Contribute to strategic and transversal development projects.

·        Contribute to the implementation of new products/workflow systems.

·        Involvement in legal matters and legal monitoring.

·        Follow-up of active growth and renewal campaigns.

* You have 5 to 8 years of experience in Life and Health Underwriting, with involvement in reinsurance. 

* You have demonstrated an exposure to international markets in your previous role(s), you want to further explore new markets, and you enjoy working across various territories and cultures.

* You are autonomous, used to making decisions and taking calculated actions, even when facing uncertainty.

* You have the ability to juggle multiple priorities and meet simultaneous deadlines.

Accordingly, you are required to possess the below skills:

* Excellent command of spoken and written English. French proficiency is a plus.

* Excellent analytical and decision-making skills.

* Excellent command of Excel, Word & PowerPoint.

* Experience with data analysis tools (BI, R, Python, etc.) is appreciated

* Responsiveness to ongoing and future events and having the creativity and courage to propose new ideas.
