We are looking for an experienced and motivated Senior Data Engineer (f/m/d) to join our fast growing team!

About the role:

As a Senior Data Engineer (f/m/x) you will be a major driver in the design and implementation of our new data platform. You will be an experienced go-to person for other engineers and teams regarding our data platform setup. You will have ownership of data engineering projects which implies cross-functional collaboration with other business domains. Your responsibilities:

  • You will collaborate on the strategy, design, implementation and support of the data warehouse and data platform
  • You will help generate and maintain technical documentation
  • You will conduct research and implement best practices associated with process, tools, techniques, and methodologies related to data engineering
  • You will oversee data security processes
  • You will coach and help other data engineers by introducing best practices in the respective field of data engineering

Your profile:

  • Advanced knowledge of relational databases (Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift) and its administration
  • Fluency in at least one general-purpose programming language (preferably Python)
  • Solid experience in information management, data warehousing and analytics technologies
  • Profound understanding of data modelling concepts
  • Experience in working with ETL Tools such as Talend, Pentaho or similar
  • Technologically neutral
  • Experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform)
  • Experience with BI tools (e.g. Domo, Tableau, Power BI)
  • Demonstrated experience in working with tools for orchestration (Airflow)
  • Experience with event streaming platforms such as Kafka, Pulsar (nice to have)
  • Language skills: English full professional proficiency, articulate and enthusiastic
