Role Purpose

Working alongside our Financial Controller and 2 Assistant Accountants you will immerse yourself within our Finance team here at Artefact. Your goal will be to assist in the provision of first class financial accounting for the business and assist in processing the accounts up to trial balance.

 Responsibilities include:

  • Processing invoices for payment – checking them and posting them in Everwin/Sage
  • Checking expense claims against the expenses policy and approving them for payment 
  •  Everwin:
    • Setting up new projects/clients/employees/suppliers
    • helping to chase timesheets and support the client teams with any issues
    • assisting with month end reconciliation
    • exporting invoices and expenses to Sage 
  • Monthly invoicing and credit control
  • Liaising with client teams to ensure POs are received for relevant clients
  • Assisting with month end: Balance Sheet reconciliations, supporting monthly forecasting
  • Admin tasks including monthly ONS submissions, checking post, completing new supplier forms for clients
  • Assisting and supporting the Finance Director and Financial Controller in their decision making,  production of Ad hoc analysis, gathering data for audit etc
  • Assist in preparation of statutory accounts and Tax returns
  • Other Ad Hoc tasks to support the finance team and the business support team

  • The ability to challenge and suggest improvements to the existing processes
  • The ability to work with/alongside non-finance professionals
  • A strong academic background
  • Either a Part Qualified Accountant or Graduate
  • Excel skills up to VLOOKUP/SUMIFS level
